Course Overview

To dream is to wander, to fantasize, to imagine.

In this class, your imagination can run wild. You will become the architect for your own design, your own residence, your own home. There is no budget and there are no limitations to what you can design. We will explore the why and how of imaginative design and work together to portray those works in both 2D and 3D projects. Along the way, we’ll examine how space, function, and beauty come together to shape the places we live.

Student Outcomes

  • Develop skills to translate abstract design ideas into visual representations.
  • Explore fundamental concepts of architecture, form, and function.
  • Practice creative problem-solving by designing structures beyond real-world constraints.
  • Gain experience working with both 2D drawing and 3D construction techniques.
